Marianne Williamson Event/A Return to Love

I read the book A Return to Love by Marianne Williamson some years ago. If I had to summarise it in one word it would be EMPOWERMENT. So when my sister gave me her ticket to a talk of hers at Body & Soul in North London last week, I jumped at the chance.

I won’t go too into the event- it was lovely. Everyone so welcoming and being in a room where everyone wants better for the world was powerful.

I will leave you with a quote of hers. This was written on a postcard given to attendees and I’m sharing because I strongly believe in it and if this reaches even just one person I feel it causes a ripple effect of love and change for development into the world:

“I consciously participate in the world’s transformation.

Inertia means the tendency of the object to move in whatever direction it’s been moving, until there is a counterforce. Today I consciously and proactively participate in a counterforce to the world’s despair: a field of peace and love.

When enough of us love, fear will dissolve. When enough of us find peace in our hearts war will cease. When enough of us stand on what we know to be true, falsehoods will no longer sway. May my thoughts and actions today help get us to “enough of us”. May my entire being read, “I’m in”. “

I am grateful for that event. “I’m in”! I felt such love and hope upon leaving and will tap into that on times that are seemingly stressful. It was ‘A Return to Love’ for sure. May us all, as Marianne says, consciously participate in the world’s transformation.
